That first time Bones said “Hallo Kitten” I squealed, bouncing up and down in my seat, clapping like te idoit yelling Yay Bones is back! I loved how he handled Justina Cat’s mom.
This seconds installment starts 4,5 years after the end of the first book.
Just enough to keep us turning the page. Then whenever you feel jealous, you can wave them at whoever’s pissing you off.
On to the next one! I missed Cat as I met her in the first book – sweeter, funnier with the one-liners, a little more naive’. New Rating – 3. I didn’t know Bones could do those things, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. View all 8 comments. What this book claims to be and just isn’t that much is Urban Fantasy – the lines tend to blend between UF and paranomal romance sometimes but this series is definitely the latter of the two, regardless of what the library sections try to say it is.

You just admitted it! Tavia Gilbert does such a great job with this series. The first book was wonderful. So you tried to get on with your life because you believed it would never work between us. I learned something very important while listening to this book.

One Foot in the Grave – Frost Cemetery
Most books in a sequel take place one right on top of the other, but this worked for me. I would read it if the first book really sparked your interest but I doubt I’ll be reading the rest of the series.
And just when you think you’ve read it all and had enough, Frost throws a big fat curveball at the end and provides some more “ghoulish’ entertainment that would make Stephen King proud! I just hope that in the next book I can be convinced she deserves the awesomeness that is Bones. Any page with Bones on it is a Very Good Page.
Halfway to the Grave. This book didn’t make me smile. I’m old and have read plenty of smut.
So Cat is working for the government: It is heavily focused on character relationships and sex, not that this is a bad thing in my opinion but the bad guy or girl of the moment often gets put on the back burner in favour of the protagonist’s sex life.
